The short version. HoodSnipr is non-custodial and account-free. We never take your private keys,
we never hold your funds, and we don't sell data. Most of what the app knows about you lives in your own browser.
1. What we do not collect
Private keys or seed phrases. The in-browser HoodSnipr wallet is generated on your device and its key never leaves it — we could not access it if we wanted to.
Names, emails, phone numbers, or passwords. There are no accounts to create.
Custody of any asset. Every transaction is signed in your wallet and broadcast to Robinhood Chain.
2. What is stored in your browser
The following are kept in your device's local storage and are never transmitted to us:
Your trade history, portfolio snapshots, and PnL figures.
Interface preferences — selected tab, timeframe, and slippage.
Your HoodSnipr wallet key, if you create one, and the address that funded it.
Cached market data so the app paints instantly on load.
Clearing your browser data erases all of it. If you hold funds in a HoodSnipr wallet and have not exported the key, clearing that data destroys access to those funds permanently.
3. What we store on our servers
Profiles. If you claim a handle, we store that handle, your chosen display name, an optional X handle, an optional profile image, and the wallet address that signed for it. This is public by design — it appears on the leaderboard.
Leaderboard entries. Wallet address and reported PnL for participating wallets.
Market caches. Token, pool, and price data about the chain itself. This concerns tokens, not people.
4. Public blockchain data
Robinhood Chain is a public ledger. Every transaction you make — including through HoodSnipr — is permanently visible to anyone, and we cannot alter or remove it. Connecting a wallet reveals its address and its full transaction history to the app, as it does to any dapp.
5. Third parties
The app reads data from third-party services, and requests to them carry your IP address under their own policies:
Robinhood Chain public RPC — balances, quotes, and transaction submission.
DexScreener and GeckoTerminal — market data and charts.
Blockscout — holder counts and token metadata.
Netlify — hosting and edge caching.
We do not run advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
6. Your control
Disconnect your wallet at any time. Delete local data by clearing site storage. To remove a stored profile, contact us with a signature from the owning wallet — we verify ownership cryptographically before making changes, because a wallet address is the only identity we recognise.
7. Changes
Material changes will be reflected in the date above. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
